New to Renting?

So you haven't rented before? Here are some things you need to know.

Prior to inspecting properties, create a picture of your strong financial position. Agents may conduct checks on your past financial history. Pay slips or any other regular income streams must be provided to the agent showing that you have the capacity to service your rental obligations.

You must also factor in that you will need to budget for gas, electricity and water usage. As you will have no previous rental history, a letter from your employer stating the period you have been employed and on what basis will help build your application. You will also need to provide a form of photo identification.

Inspect properties that are within your financial means. Submit your case to the agent in the form of a formal application. McLennan accepts rental applications via 1form.

Good luck!
